Hello and welcome to new version of my online portfolio. For the first time I have used CMS Joomla for my site, although I have been using it before for other projects.

Here I will try to put some pro and con for using Joomla as a CMS system (those are advises for any free CMS systems).

+ PROs +

• * easy to install
• * easy to maintain
• * endless possibilities for different design (module positions, color variations…)
• * many free and commercial modules and components that are improving functionality of web site
• * easy to serve for different roles of the web sites (portfolios, news editions, blogs, e-commerce, personal…)

- CONs -

• * hm...not one..really :)

Major objection of those who criticize not only Joomla but other free CMS systems also, is trouble with SEO. Problem is that most of them are trying to improve web site rating, over similar web sites, regardless of similar or same content. Yes, it is important to have good optimized web site, but that wouldn’t help if content is poor. In course of my work I have seen that as a big and major problem. Everyone want to see their web site high ranked, and don’t want to work on the content of web site.
